If Vedikundu Murugesan's posters and initial reports gave you an impression that the movie is a comedy, director Moorthy begs to differ. In a recent interview to a tabloid, he was quoted as saying that as opposed to the common misconception in public, his movie is not a comedy.
The movie, according to him, is a documentation of human lives ridden with mistakes and otherwise. Moorthy, who earlier directed the average grosser Karuppasami Kuthagaithaarar' also mentioned that he has attempted to deliver a social message with Murugesan with a tinge of comedy. "The movie and characters will be serious, however, there will be no dearth of laughter in the theatres," Moorthy added.
Murugesan has Pasupathy and Jyothirmayi playing the lead.
