In a the recent editorial in the Siva Sena mouth piece Saamna, Siva Sena chief Bal Thackeray had called Rajinikanth to come over to Maharashtra to fight for the rights of Maharashtrians. It has been said in the editorial that Rajini's duty in Tamil Nadu is long over and he should take up his responsibilities in Maharashtra for the betterment of Maharashtrians.
Bal Thackeray also welcomed Rajini's decision not to celebrate his birthday in view of the ethnic strife in Sri Lankan and the killings of innocent Tamils there. In the editorial, Mr. Thackeray had mentioned that about 105 people had laid down their lives for the creation of Maharashtra but no one as charismatic as Rajini was ever born in the soil of Maharashtra.
