Vijay movie or Jeeva movie?

Director VV Kathir's Thenavettu has come out very well and he had sold the rights to Sun. But it was not a smooth sailing for this director as he had to face a lot of problems initially. Kollywood sources have it that Kathir wanted to rope in Vijay for the film but it did not work out. Later, he tried to sign up several top heroes and finally settled for Jeeva.

According to the director, Thenavettu is out and out action flick. The promos that were telecast on Sun TV show it clearly as an action film, and like Kadhalil Vilunthen (whose promos showed it to be clearly a romantic film) the promos are helping the film’s image. Sun TV has also now included the action scenes and punch dialogues in the promos. Now, that's what you call the true advertising.
