Kamal’s opinion on ‘What makes an Indian script unique’.


The annual Screen Writer's conference, to be held this year on 13 and 14 December at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai will have Kamal Haasan attending the event as a special guest. The two day conference is being organized by the Film Writers' Association and this year will focus
on the life and works of the renowned film personality Vijay Tendulkar.
The conference will be attended by the famous names of Indian cinema including Nasreen Munni Kabir, Ashutosh Gowariker, Vinay Shukla, B R Ishara, Govind Nihalani, Dr Jabbar Patel, Amol Palekar, Imteyaz Hussain, K Hariharan, Lekh Tandon, Aatish Kapadia, Rajkumar Hirani, S M Vasanth, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Jha, Subash Ghai, Anurag Basu, Abbas Tyrewala and Javed Akhtar.
Various topics in regard to quality of screenwriting in Indian cinema will be discussed in the two day affair, which is divided into 10 sessions. There will be presentations, interactions, and Q&A during the course of the event. The conference will also focus on the other challenges involved in screenwriting. Kamal will chair the discussion on the topic 'what makes the Indian script unique'.
