Thiagarajan (father of actor Prashanth) will be playing a prominent role in a Malayalam film. A popular actor and a producer, Thiagarajan had last acted in 'Shock' along with his son. He shot to fame with movies like 'Alaigal Oivathillai', 'Malayoor Mambuttiyaan', 'Salem Vishnu' among others.
The Malayalam movie in which he would be playing a pivotal role will be directed by Siddique. It features Dileep and Nayantara in lead roles. Nayanthara, who opted out of the Tamil film 'Paiyya', has agreed to do this Malayalam flick after a long gap.
It may be recalled that she had appeared only for a song sequence in the recent Malayalam release 'Twenty: 20'.
