Director Ameer is a constant companion with director Sasi Kumar, in any event he does. His mentor and friend, Ameer has always been in praise of Sasi Kumar for his conviction. The same admiration came to the fore at the audio launch of 'Pasanga' as well.
"Sasikumar is travelling on high speed. He is even doing things that I have only been able to plan, not execute. At this scenario in Kollywood, when directors are queuing up before leading actors, Sasi has travelled the road less trod by doing a film for children.
But this courage to do things differently must have come for Kamal Haasan, who is a forerunner in all the different attempts that we are doing today”. Said Ameer.
"When he was in his prime, he decided to produce a film and tried acquiring Sathyaraj's dates to do 'Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu'. And when hero-centric films were the order of the day, he produced a film with just three heroines, 'Magalir Mattum'," he added, calling Kamal Haasan the inspiration for most in the industry today, including Sasi Kumar and himself.
