Maatthi Yosi – the psyche of the criminalsDirector Nanda Periaswamy tries to delve into the minds of young criminals. Spurred by the number of rising young criminals, especially their poses for the camera after they get caught, Nanda Periaswamy hit upon the idea for this film. It talks about four petty thieves, who flee to Chennai after they commit the biggest crime of their lives in their small and sleepy village. The rest of the story deals with what happens to them in Chennai. They also meet a girl in Chennai, who affects their lives and all this has been narrated beautifully in a parallel story.
