Rukmani Vijayakumar who debuted in Bharathiraja’s Bomallattam has also acted in Ananda Thandavam. While speaking to the media said,” I agreed to work in Bomallattam since I got the role of a dancer. After this I got a lot offers but I had to refuse them because there were two years left to complete my dancing classes. I had gone to America to complete this. That is the time I got the offer to act in Ananda Thandavam.
This also I did not agree initially. But I agreed to do it finally because I felt my classes will not be affected because the shooting was to take place in America. That is why this long gap. Now I will be acting in full fledged manner. It will not be sheer coming and acing and going. I will be choosing good character roles. I would like to act in a film based on dances.”
