Pasanga might essentially be a film for children, but it seems to have captured the hearts of as many elders as children. The film, which was released earlier this month, is the debut directorial venture of Pandiraj, and has been produced by Sasikumar.
Actor Sivakumar was among the earliest to congratulate the director, calling it a film that made him feel young. Singer Balamuralikrishna, who has crooned for a song in the film, has admitted that this was a movie he saw in the theatres after a very long time.
Producer-director Shankar, who is known to be generous with appreciation, had sent a bouquet of flowers to the director, with the words, Kaithattaludan Shankar.
The director has specifically stated that he had not been able to watch the movie soon after its release, as he was busy with the shooting for Rajini’s Endhiran. Shankar has told Pandiraj that he saw the film with his family and completely enjoyed the children's film.
Director Pandiraj, a former assistant to Cheran, Thankar Bachan and Simbhudevan, spoke to Indiaglitz from Viraichalai, his hometown in Pudukottai. I have been accorded a special welcome by the people of my own village, who have been very appreciative as a filmmaker. My responsibilities have increased now. I have a script ready and will be working on it soon, says the elated director.
