Actress Suhasini, who has turned film critics with her recent TV show, is all set to direct a Kannada film next. The actress, who spoke to them media in Karnataka recently, said she was waiting for her son to reach university to direct a film. And now that her son is a grown up, the actress has revealed that she would take up the director’s hat for a Kannada film next year. The actress said this at a press briefing about the film Eradane Madhuve, in which she plays a middle aged girl going in for a second marriage. Ananthnag plays her husband in the film.
Suhasini, who has earlier directed Indira with niece Anu Haasan, says she is closely connected to Karnatake though she belongs to Tamil Nadu and would love to do a film there. Art has no such parochial borders, observed the actress. Suhasini recalled actor Vishnuvardhan, a good friend of hers, asking her to direct a film in Kannada for a long time. It finally looks like it’s set to happen next year, says the actress, who is celebrating her silver jubilee years in Kannada films now.
