Priyamani is currently acting in Manirathinam’s Ravana. When Priyamani was asked about her experience with the director, she said,” I met Manirathinam sir at Mumbai airport when I was going to Goa Film Festival.
This was the first opportunity to meet him. He said that he liked my acting in Paruthiveeran. He congratulated me. After few days he phoned me and asked me to meet him.
He discussed with me for more than half an hour regarding my role in Ravana. He asked me whether I can speak Hindi. I told him yes. He called his assistant and asked me to speak with him in Hindi. He liked the way I spoke. One should not act in Manirathinam film. It should be realistic. He will not call quits until he is satisfied.”
