Gorintaku was a superhit in Telugu and now the film is being remade in Tamil as Marudhani. Starring Meera Jasmine and Rajsekar as a brother and sister team the film is steeped in sentiment. Yet the film was a superhit in Kannada as well where it was made under the title Anna Thangi. Producer Prabakar will be shooting some parts for Tamil audiences and adding comic scenes by actors Mayilsamy and Aarthi. Even though youth and romance subjects are a hit, the Paasa Malar type of film did exceedingly well in the other two languages, giving the producers confidence to try it out in Tamil as well. SA Rajkumar scores the music and Jai Akash plays Meera’s lover.
