AR Rahman to perform at Sydney Festival 2010



The pride of India A.R. Rahman will be doing the headline act at the world famous Sydney Festival 2010 in Australia, performing on January 16. The festival will showcase exceptional dance, theater, film, and music programs by renowned artists from all over the world. Rahman has put Indian music on the international chart after his Oscar win for Slumdog millionare.
AR Rahman will bring the colour and vibrancy of Indian music and dance to the stage for a massive free one-night-only concert with more than 40 dancers, singers and musicians at outdoor Parramatta Park near Sydney.
Rahman has also decided to include the compositions of the pop star Micheal Jackson as a subject at his music school, the KM Music Conservatory in Chennai. He will also be donning the hat of lecturer and will deliver the first lecture on Jackson, his life and times, and how it influenced his own music.
