Director Gowtham says that that Magizchi is based on a real incident

Director Gowtham became very popular after directing the TV serial Santhana Kaadu. He is directing and acting in the new film titled Magizchi. The shooting of this film is taking place in Eranial for the last ten days.

Director Gowtham while speaking about this film to the media said,” The first film I directed was Kanave Kalaiyade. The second film which I am directing now is Magizchi. This film is based on the real incident which took place in Kumari District. This film is adapted from the novel Thalaimurai written by Neela Padmanabhan.

The story of the film begins in 13th century and journeys to 2009 and travels back and ends in 1985. This film pertains to three periods and five generations. I am doing the role called Draviam while Seeman dons the role of Kutralam. Prakash Raj dons the role called Mosses.
‘Dindigul Sarathy’ Karthika, Anjali, Anu, Sampath, Kanga Karuppu, yester year veteran actors V S Raghavan and Sukumari are also starring in this film. Vidhyasagar has composed the music for the lyrics penned by Vairamuthu. Chezhian is handling the camera. The whole shooting of this film is taking place in Kanyakumari District. This film will be one of the top ten films in India.”
