Lingusamy is excited about his next project Paiyya which his brother Bose is producing and he is directing under the Thirrupathi Films Media banner. Karthi is his hero and Lingusamy recalls how the script turned out to be what it is in the early days when he was writing it.“After Bheema I was wondering what to do next. I signed Karthi as my hero and I congratulated Ameer for getting such a perfect performance out of him in Paruthiveeran. But when I spoke to Karthi I felt he didn’t want a performance oriented role alone. He wanted love and action too and he told me that he enjoyed my Run so much and would love to do something like that. I wanted 100% success after Bheema so I sat together with my assistants for 12 days and expanded on a single idea that I had. When I narrated the finished story to Karthi he enjoyed it thoroughly even while listening to it. That’s how this story was finally ready.”Lingusamy adds ‘The story is about a pretty girl who lands up in the hero’s car asking him to take her from Bangalore to Mumbai but a mystery follows this girl. We shot in ten schedules all over the highway and I told cameraman Mathi not to compromise for any shot even though its my own production and Rajeevan came up with some great art work. Anthony’s editing is another highlight of this film.”With all this and more, Paiyya sure is fuelling the expectations of viewers.
