If I Rise – AR Rahman's Ticket to Oscars?

A.R. Rahman’s ‘127 Hours’ mainly comprises of background tracks based on guitars. Unlike previous album ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, A.R. Rahman has crooned just one song for ‘127 Hours’. The song titled ‘If I Rise’ hasn’t started making high waves in India as it would begin only after nominations for Oscar are announced.

However, the song is already winning international recognition for A.R. Rahman’s stunning music. A.R. Rahman has joined hands with world renowned singer Dido and chorus of children. The inspirational lyrics are one of the biggest assets for this song, which will grab everyone’s attention.

Dido and A.R. Rahman – If I Rise Lyrics

Dido:

In your life, your mad

In your car, your sad

O’ your taller now I’ve found

Hold your fire course

O’ your fallen out

Go and sow your courses

A R R:

If I rise, they are on my drive

If I believe, it’s more than it is

More than it is

Dido:

If I rise, one more chance

All our dreams, more than this

O’ your taller now I’ve found

Hold your fire course

O’ your fallen out

Go and sow your courses

A R R:

If I rise, they are on my drive

If I believe, it’s more than it is

It’s more than it is

Child Chorus:

If I thought I wanted more

Get the life more

Just one more call

Though I’ve never lost

Believe I don’t care

Never again

A R R & Dido:

If I rise, they are on my drive

If I believe, it’s more than it is

It’s more than it is

Child Chorus:

If I thought I wanted more

Get the life more

Just one more call

Dido:

If I believe, there’s more than this

Anymore than this
