'Payanam' Is Not About ‘Kandahar Incident’
Radha Mohan decisiveness over changing his genre from soft romantic entertainers to an action-packed thriller is expected to win him laurels. About his upcoming release ‘Payanam’, a bilingual movie, the filmmaker admits that it’s not based on the Kandahar Hijack incident that happened before years. But it is loosely based on the novel ‘Fear To Flight’ penned by Devi Sharan.
The film has some best action sequences, but will focus more into the emotional levels of the passengers from different areas. There would be politicians, film stars, young lovers, the ones stressed out from relationships and so on. So how about ‘comedy’ that is common in all movies of Radha Mohan? ‘Definitely, there would be some situational comedies’ adds Radha Mohan.
The bilingual movie has Nagarjuna playing the lead role of a commando and Prakash Raj as a senior bureaucrat assigned by Government to negotiate talks.
