Velayutham was originally planned as a Vijay's birthday (June 22nd 2011) release. But now the release date has been postponed. Enquiries reveal that Velayutham’s director Jayam Raja has not completed the shooting and needs to film two more songs and a few scenes. Owing to this, the film’s release has been postponed to August, sources report. Further, Velayutham’s producer Aascar Ravichandran is spending around 2 crores for Vijay’s intro song alone. Since the producer and director want this song to be the talk of the town, they are making major plans which are pushing back the release of the film.
Vijay Anthony is scoring the music for this film and the audio is expected to hit the market very soon.
