Sabha the director of Maa said that Bhoomika has kept up her commitment which she has promised four years ago. Maa has the star cast of Srikanth, Bhoomika, Prithviraj and Madhushalini. Sabha said,” Maa is about affection between mother and a child. A child’s first word is Maa. I have kept this has the title. When I wrote this story I had decided that I should cast Bhoomika in this film. I narrated this story to Bhoomika in the year 2004. She was captivated on hearing the story. She gave her nod.
But due to some unanticipated state of affairs I was not able to commence the shooting. In the meantime I lost touch with Bhoomika. At this point efforts were made to revive the shooting last month. Bhoomika also got married. I had a doubt whether she will act in this movie. When I contacted her she said she is ready to act in my film and asked me how many dates I required. I am also in search of a person to pair with her. Srikanth is donning the role of a person who loves Bhoomika. Prithviraj is acting as Bhoomika’s friend. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music while Paneerselvam handles the camera. The shooting of this will commence this month”.
