Nandanam in Tamil

Ranjith was in the news recently for making a film on Srividhya’s love ordeal based on her confessions in her diary. Nandanam a film which was a popular film in Malayalam in the year 2002 is being remade in Tamil. This film will be produced by Shogun Mohan. This film will have Prithviraj and Priyamani. The Malayalam film had Prithviraj and Navya Nair. Dhanush will do the cameo as a human avatar of Lord Krishna.
Nandanam has a simple story line which was wonderfully articulated by Ranjith in Malayalam. The Tamil screenplay is being written by writer-director Viji, who wrote the screenplay of Mozhi and also wrote and directed Vellithirai. The shooting of this film will commence in January 2009 after Prithviraj and Priyamani completes Manirathinam’s film Ashokavanam.
