Oscar award winner, Music wizard A.R.Rahman was conferred honorary doctorate by Aligarh Muslim University on Sunday. This degree was given for his contribution in the field of art and music.
Rahman was honored with noted Urdu scholar Gopi Chand Narang at the 59th Convacation this historic institution.
Overwhelmed to have joined the likes of former Presidents of India, Mr.Zahir Hussain, Mr.APJ Abdhul Kalam and Freedom fighter Khan Abdhul Gaffar Khan are the receipents of earlier days. Rahman urged Indian youth to work towards building a strong and harmonious India.
Crediting his success to Indian traditions, Rahman said, it is only with these values that my success has been realized.
