Music composer Sundar C Babu’s mother Sudhakshina Devi passed away in Chennai on Tuesday evening. She was 64 and is survived by three sons, daughter-in-laws and grand children.
A veena artiste herself, she accompanied her husband for concerts all over the world. Sudhakshina Devi was also taking up veena classes free for those who were interested in learning veena.
Sudhakshina Devi, who belonged to a legendary family, was the granddaughter of Pattabhi Seetharamaiah, founder of Andhra Bank and former Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
Sundar C Babu is her third son while her eldest son Rangasayee lives in the United States and second son Radhakrishna in Hyderabad.
