Since I am selecting good stories and strong characters many are asking me whether I have the knowledge of direction. I don’t know much about direction but I will direct a film some day. That is my dream.;

Popular pair Aarthi and Ganesh to get married
Their super ten programme was one among the best. After this they continue to act in many shows and programmes. Now they have decided to join in their marriage also. The marriage is to take place with the blessings of the elderly on 10th of next month atGuruvayur Temple.
The reception is to be held at Hotel Accord in T Nagar, Chennai on 25th. Members of the film fraternity are likely to grace the occasion in large numbers. Aarthi while speaking about her marriage said,” Many of the people are thinking that we AR are in love. But the fact is that we both are acting in lot of films.
In the same way we have participated in lot of programmes together. During our younger days we had acted in the film titled En Thangai Kalayani. But till last three months I did not feel any thing. My elder sister’s marriage took place some 9 months ago. After this I started thinking about my marriage.
My life centres around cinema, so I felt it would be better if a person belonging to cinema will be more understanding and suitable for me. I wanted a person who would respect my parents, have passion for cinema, good sense of humor, God fearing and above all a good person.I found all these traits in Ganesh. So I chose him and told him about this recently. He was also in search of a good life partner like me after the demise of his mother and grandmother.”
Kadhal Sandhya denies her romance with Santhanoo
I know Santhanoo even before I came into cinema. Whenever I use to meet Saranya, her brother Santhanoo used to be there. We use to converse. But how can you call this love. In our friends get together we both are invited.
We both participate in these parties. It is not possible to avoid him. In fact his sister Saranya is the one who told us about these rumors. With regard to my name linked with the other co stars, it is purely rumors and there is no truth in it.All these kind of rumors are common in tinsel world. As far as I am concerned I want to be friendly with everyone.”
Vikram to join hands with 'Magadheera' Director
Following ‘Raavana’ Vikram will work for two projects simultaneously. As said by us earlier, his project with Vikram K Kumar of ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ fame will go on floors soon. On the other hand another project with Selvaraghavan where PC Sreeram is signed as a cameraman will also roll concomitantly.
Now the latest murmur from the actor’s place is that he will be doing a bilingual project with ‘Magadheera’ Director Raja Mouli. Sources had it that the actor and director met and discussed about the movie. It’s believed that this untitled flick will start rolling by the end of this Feb or March first week. Know who had arranged for this meeting? It’s Kanthaswamy’s music director Devi Sri Prasad.

Prakash Raj will direct a Hindi movie
Since, Prakash Raj is busy shooting for dozen of projects over the South Indian films, the actor couldn’t accept those offers. Meanwhile, he’s all set to direct a Kannada movie being a remake of ‘Abhiyum Naanum’. When asked why preferred for this film when there were more good films as well produced by him?
Says Prakash, “This film remains close to my heart though there were many good films produced by my banner… The remake in Kannada will feature me and Divya Spandana in lead roles. For sure, I would like to direct movies in every language, from Telugu, Tamil and Hindi in mere future.
NARROWING LINES BETWEEN TV AND CINEMA!
What does one mean by saying TV? Well, we don’t know whether it was some sort of ploy by the producers to try and reduce at least to some extent the dominance of the pirated VCD industry. But, there has definitely been an increase in the number of films being handed over to TV channels in a hurry. No one is sure whether the current channel war has accelerated budgets of each competitor to acquire the most wanted productions and products. But, the overall process of getting a film from the big screen to the small one has become considerably faster, maybe by a huge factor.Look back at this Navarathri. The last two days of the festival are the most special and all channels preserved their arsenal for these couple of days. Do you remember the films that were played out across channels on those two days? Even a person with a sharp memory and a great interest in cinema might not able to recollect effectively. But, one does remember images of Abhiyum Naanum, Subramaniapuram and Poo flashing across the screen while flipping channels. The common factor between all these films is that all of them were released in 2008, got great critics’ views and did good business at the box office. Subramaniapuram was last year’s sensation while Abhiyum Naanum and Poo were revelations. In fact, all major hits of 2008, barring Dasavatharam have already been shown on the small screen; the likes of Saroja etc.All of a sudden, TV is flooded with new movies and more importantly with advertisements claiming it to be a historical landmark (varalaaril mudhal muraiyaga) that the particular movie is being telecast on that particular channel at a particular time - which of-late is also seen to be deliberately coinciding with similar plans of another channel. It is not just mere coincidence or a one off occasion. Almost all the small movies of 2009 have already been telecast including the reasonably successful Dindigul Sarathi. The movies that are less fortunate at the ticket window find themselves on the small screen before they can even blink. This year’s Anandha Thandavam is a good example which did not have to wait for much long after its theatrical release to get to the small screen. Is it a healthy trend? The common sense answer would be no. Already, families think twice, thrice and maybe even more before planning to watch a movie in theaters, the expenses and the stress demands that kind of planning. Imagine how their minds would change if the same pattern of big screen release to TV premier is followed. The difference is just a few months or even lesser which would not rob the movie of any of its freshness or novelty. A couple of years or so back, the big festival premiers used to be blockbusters fetched from at least 2 -3 years in the past. The new style is definitely welcome news for those who prefer that couch than the theater seat. But, it might ultimately turn out to be a self inflicted wound for the film industry. Maintain, preserve and use sparingly the unique appeal that TV can never have when compared to cinema. By narrowing down the distance between TV and cinema, it is the theaters that will finally go empty.

‘Vettaikkaran’ Vijay vs. ‘Asal’ Ajith?
And the one who might miss this race will be our ‘Vettaikkaran’. With just seventeen days more for Diwali, the film has a lot to be done said the sources. A few talkie portions and a song, for which the crew plans to go to Australia, are remaining to be shot. With so much of field works and post productions works remaining, we wonder if it is possible for ‘Vettaikkaran’ to hit the floor on the festive day.
On the other hand, looks like Vijay wants the film to be perfect in everything and it’s not important to be released in a hurry. Sources further added that Sun Pictures have also settled the issues in favour of the actor. All right, this more or less clears the air and the film’s release for Diwali is doubtful…
So if not for Diwali when is the release uh? What do you think people? Will anyone release such a puffed up project on a normal day? So the next possible festive season is Pongal.
Our question now is ‘Will ‘Vettaikkaran’ play single handed with ‘Asal’- the biggie who is already waiting for Pongal release?’
So the bottom line is that, ‘Aadhavan’ is free to do a One Man Show this Diwali, while we might see the Clash of the Titans this Pongal…
'Mappillai' on fast track
A few weeks back, Jabak denied media reports that he had made up his mind to drop the "prestigious project", which features the son-in-law in the shoes of the Superstar father-in-law.
In order to fully concentrate on the movie, which is a remake of a Rajinikanth blockbuster of the same title, the noted producer of Tamil cinema has sold 'Naan Avan Illai -2', his other production venture, on a 'first copy basis' to one Ranjan, a distributor.
Directed by Selva, ‘Naan Avan Illai - 2’ is a sequel of 'Naan Avan Illai'. Quite like the first part, Jeevan will be seen in many get-ups. The film has five heroines opposite Jeevan.
Coming back to 'Mappillai', sources have it that D Imman has finished composing five songs for the film, which is to be directed by Suraaj. Other pre-production works too are going on in a fast track, it is learnt.
Lakshmi Rai bitter with Kannada
The actress from Belgaum says that she is a top heroine in Kerala. “I just love Malayalam films. I am one of the top actresses in Mollywood and acting with the likes of Mammootty gives me immense pleasure.”
“When I share the screen space with Mammootty, I can learn the nuances of acting from him. I feel these days that my acting skills have improved a lot,” she says with a vivacious smile on her face.
Lakshmi Rai claims that her character in ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’ is totally different. “This is for the first time any Tamil actress is doing such a role. My character will be talked about once the movie gets released,” she says.
