7am Arivu climax shoot in Chennai

Director AR Murgadoss`s Suriya- Shruthi Haasan starrer 7am Arivu produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and his Red Giant Movies, have started their final schedule in the suburbs of Chennai.
Ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran is shooting some very difficult action scenes along with Peter Heyn the stunt master on the crowded Tambaram by-pass, Pallavaram areas of Chennai. Though none of the crew is willing to speak it looks like the climax of the film.
Suriya and Shruthi Haasan are taking part in the shoot where our hero bashes up a dozen goons. Suriya is likely to complete the shoot of the film by March end. Murgadoss will take over two months for post- production as there is a lot of graphics involved.
The release date of 7am Arivu which was originally planned for April first week, as the big summer release will now get pushed by at least three months.

Urumi gets ready

Malayalam film Urumi, which is also being made simultaneously in English under the title The Boy Who Killed Vasco Da Gama, is expected to be released either on March 25th or 31st.
The film stars Prithviraj, Genelia and Prabhu Deva and is based on the murder of Vasco Da Gama. It is the costliest film ever made in the Malayalam film industry till date and is produced jointly by Prithviraj, Shaji Natesan and Santosh Sivan. Urumi is directed by Santosh Sivan.

Suriya’s heroine in Maatran!

Director KV Anand’s next directorial venture will have Suriya playing the lead role. The poster released on Pongal Day has managed to capture the attention of movie buffs and expectations on this film are already building up.

Since the film was announced, there were speculations on who would bag the heroine’s role in Maatran. It now appears that the Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha is the lucky one. The lady is happy to have got the offer and is reportedly working out her dates to make sure that she joins Suriya’s camp on time.        

Celebrating Tamil Cinema in Norway

The celebration of Tamil Cinema in Norway commenced from last year as lots of Tamil movies were screened and awards were conferred upon the best titles. In fact, it provided a good platform for Mysskin’s ‘Nandhalala’ and gained recognitions amongst international audiences. The occasion had coming together of almost all the top-charting filmmakers of Tamil film industry.

This year, it is turning to be more stunning as it is expected to have more bonanzas and participation of more filmmakers from Kollywood. A press meet has been arranged to mark the event tomorrow evening that will have the following personalities addressing the media channels.

Hansraj Saxena, filmmakers Cheran, Gowtham Menon, Mysskin, Vasantha Balan, SP Jananathan, Vetrimaaran, Vijay, Prabhu Solomon, Radha Mohan, Seenu Ramaswamy, Rajesh, Surya Prakash, Saranya Ponvannan, Leena Manimekalai, Santhosh and producer Nazir.

The complete schedule of the film festival along with the details of movies to be screened will be announced during this occasion.

Vijay to join protestors on Feb 22nd

Vijay will join the fishermen in Nagapattinam to protest against the atrocities meted out on the Indian fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy. The actor has been vehemently championing this cause among a lot others and will join the protestors on February 22nd in Nagapattinam.
Vijay has taken time off from his busy schedule to ensure that he lends his voice for the fishermen community that is languishing from the Sri Lankan Navy attacks. The stars feels that the plight of the fishermen should be brought to fore so that government steps in to take stringent action.

Vishnuvardhan Quits 'Billa-2'

Director Vishnuvardhan might have completed the script of ‘Billa-2’ nearly before a year, but had to wait for the call of producers. Instantly, he was into the other project ‘The Shadow’, Telugu movie starring Pawan Kalyan and Anushka Shetty in lead roles. Now as both the projects are clashing with both the shooting schedules, Vishnuvardhan had no options other than giving up ‘Billa-2’.

The producers and Vishnuvardhan had some discussions recently and came up with such decision. But they have made it clear that they will have Vishnuvardhan working on their other project.

Chakri Toleti, who made his debut directorial through Kamal Haasan’s ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ has been signed to wield megaphone for this film. The team will now have new writers working on the script along with Chakri.

This will be a prequel to ‘Billa’ that looks into the story of how an ordinary man across the shores of Tuticorin becomes the most powerful international don.

Yes, I fall in Love, Says Reema Sen

Reemma is in love. The ‘Minnale’ and ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ actress reportedly gave her nod to Delhi-based businessman Shiv Karan Singh, when he proposed to her on Wednesday night.
Though there is no official confirmation from Reemma, media reports have quotes from Shiv Karan Singh, his friend and a close relative of him. All of them have confirmed the affair and are happy about it.
“Though I know Reemma for the past two years, she became a friend of mine only recently. I was tensed before proposing to her. And on cloud nine since she said yes,” Shiv reportedly said.
He added: “its wonderful feeling. We are at present enjoying the happiness of love.” It is said that Shiva and Reemma would soon enter wedlock, but before that the actress would complete all her professional commitments.

Vishal starts his next

Just days after he completed shooting for Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’, Vishal has started his next venture, directed by Prabhu Deva. The film went on floors at a function attended by select invitees.
Those who were present at the launch of the yet-to-be titled movie include Vishal, Prabhu Deva, Sameera Reddy, Vivek, Vishal’s brother Vikram Krishna, sister-in-law Shreya Reddy and his parents.
Produced by the actor’s home banner G K Film Corporation, the film, which is touted to be an action entertainer, will be shot in Tuticorin and Kolkata. “I am happy to work with Prabhu Deva,” says Vishal.
On ‘Avan Ivan’ and Bala, he says, “To put it in three words, I would say ‘I love Bala’. He is a great director and a great human being, who really cares for other. ‘Avan Ivan’ would be a milestone in my career.”

Sonia Agarwal Marry To After 3 Years

Beautiful Sonia Agarwal is now looking forward to start her second innings. The actress separated from director Selvaraghavan and is right now living with her brother in Chennai.
She says Right now I am not looking for any relation and I will be thinking of second marriage only after next three years. I am just 28 years and resuming my career in Kollywood with Vaanam. I am blessed with good set of friends who will stand by me in all times. By showering her wishes on Selva and Geethanjali Sonia says I am happy that Selvaraghavan has found his partner and I always wished him to start a new life.
