Actress Jiah Khan Commits Suicide

Beautiful, young, talented, charming, simple and no more. Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was found dead in her Mumbai Juhu residence. She had allegedly committed suicide last night. She was 25. Though proper reason for the mishap has not yet been concluded, the actress' servant and watchman are interrogated on her death. Apparently, no suicide note was found. However, it was quite evident that she maintained a low profile in the society, and was undergoing personal trauma. But she was reported to be recouping and making plans to return to acting. Having been brought up in England, she recently shifted to a residence in Juhu to pursue her screen interests. She was in fact meeting filmmakers for new projects. About a fortnight ago, her last Tweet read " So sorry I have been off twitter! Took a bit of a break from twitter verse.. sometimes u need a sabbatical to recollect ur thoughts."  Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai for post mortem.
The actress debuted along side Big B in Ram Gopal Varma's 'Nishabd' and has the fame credits of Akshay Kumar's 'Housefull' and Aamir Khan's 'Ghajini'. We at Indiaglitz, deeply mourn the sad demise of a beautiful actress.

Actress Aachi Manorama hospitalized

Veteran actress ‘Aachi’ Manorama has been hospitalized following ill health. The actress has been in and out of hospital lately. She had also gone through a couple of minor surgeries in the last few years.
However, she looked fine and active for the past few months and the veteran had also taken up a few projects. Suddenly, her health took a beating yesterday and she was immediately admitted in a private hospital in T Nagar.

Doctors, however have announced that her health is better today.

Santhanam Gets Kamal Haasan's Role

Comedy actor Santhanam is undoubtedly one of the most wanted factor of every film. Even his guest appearance adds a lot of value to his movies. Well, here is one such illustration befitting to it. Remember Kamal Haasan playing a cameo role in Superstar Rajnikanth's 'Thillu Mullu'. The remake version with Mirchi Shiva and Prakash Raj in lead roles has Santhanam making a special appearance that was made by Kamal Haasan in original version.

It is all about the results of actress Lakshmi Menon. There was a buzz on social networking sites that Lakshmi Menon has flunked in her exams. Apparently, when tried contacting her through phone, her mother cleared off such rumours saying that Lakshmi Menon has excelled with First Class marks and is now busy promoting her recent release 'Kutti Puli' with the entire team.

Aascar Ravichandran stunned by AR Rahman

AR Rahman has not only given extraordinary songs for Bharathbala’s Maryan, he is also working day and night on the background scores. Rahman has supposedly postponed all his foreign tours and concerts to finish Maryan first.

The producer of the film, Aascar Ravichandran was stunned by the commitment Rahman is putting on the project. The producer was all praise for the maestro. “Talent alone cannot place a person on top. One has to remain committed and devoted to the job,” he said.

Thalaivaa Audio Releasing On June 22

It has become a trend these days to do Audio launch, Teaser trailers or any promotional campaign for upcoming movies on the star's birthday. Even quite recently it was unveiled that Karthi's Biryani teaser is to be released coinciding with his birthday. Joining the bandwagon is our Ilayathalapathy's Thalaivaa.
It will be a double dhamaka as the track list of the album will be out on the music director's birthday which falls on June 13. GV Prakash took out on a social networking site to reveal further that, the audio launch itself is slated for a June 22 release, which is also Vijay's birthday. Call it coincidence or mere planning; the event will indeed be a birthday present for the stars, as it's a gift for their hard work.

SPB in Bollywood After 15 Years

Though his songs are timeless, this one is clocked. It has been a clear 15 years since SP Balasubramaniam has sung a song in Bollywood, and the long time dream is coming true with King Khan's 'Chennai Express'.
Music for the Sharukh Khan film is composed by Vishal Shekhar and 'Chennai Express' has its title song rendered in the peerless voice of SPB. The song was recorded in Raju Menon Studio, Chennai, and we hear that the track has come out really well. Directed by Rohit Shetty for Sharukh's Red Chillies, 'Chennai Express' stars SRK and Deepika Padukone in the lead, and many Kollywood big names. In the film, Deepika is portrayed to be a Tamil girl. The 'Chennai Express' team has a surprise in store, at the IPL finals, to be held in Kolkata.

Actor Dhanush and KV Anand come together

For long there rumor mills of Kollywood were running with the news that KV Anand is due in for a movie with Vijay or even our own superstar, however the air of confusion is finally clear and sound. Actor Dhanush who is quite active in a social networking site, has come out with tweeting that the KV Anand-Dhanush project is a GO for sure.

He has further revealed that the movie is confirmed recently, and shooting to commence from somewhere in August. KV Anand's previous movie Maattrraan had a decent outing at the BO and as for Dhanush, he is on all time high with so many projects round the corner. An official word from KV Anand's camp is yet to be out soon with the rest of technical cast and crew also being zeroed in.

Movie on Sreesanth

Its only days since Sreesanth was arrested for spot fixing, and now two Malayalam film makers are gearing up with a movie " Cricket" which will showcase Sreesanth's life. The movie will be directed by Shaji who is well known for depicting movies with underworld milieu and scripted by Sajan.  Sreesanth is the hot topic in whole of India for his alleged involvement with bookies and spot fixing, the matter has become a national issue as it's a shame to Indian cricket itself.
Sajan and Shaji reveal that this movie will be about a young Kerala born cricketer who is rich in talents and reaches the peak in a short while, but how greed takes over him and how he enters the crooked ways of life, with no one else to blame than himself. They also further mentioned this movie will be an eye opener to young cricketers, it will tell them only Hard work matters and money is not everything.

Music Director Anirudh bags Vijay-Murugadoss's next

While Vijay fans are rejoicing to hear that the superstar will be working with director Murugadoss again post 'Thupakki', here's latest update on the movie front.

Buzz is that the untitled film has brought 'Kolaveri' musical hero Anirudh on board. Initially, rumours had it that the filmmaker will be working with Harris Jayaraj, since they had given success hattricks earlier with 'Thuppakki', '7aum Arivu' and 'Ghajini'. However it has been now finalised that Anirudh will make our Thalapathy dance to his tunes, literally!

But now sadly the young talent wouldn't be able to don grease paint. News had been that Anirudh will debuting as a actor in 'Podaa Podi' famed Vignesh Shiva's next venture. Now with new responsibility on hand, apparently Anirudh's acting dream has to wait. "This is a prestigious project and I have my hands full with music composing assignments currently," the young composer said in an interview. Incidentally, Anirudh also has Elred Kumar's untitled project on hand.

Big buyers for Thalaivaa

Vendhar Movies is on a high, getting hold of everything on their way. They hit a jack pot with their last buy, Ethir Neechal. Now it has come to our knowledge that the company has acquired the distribution rights for the Vijay starrer Thalaivaa.

Team Thalaivaa has also sold the Kerala distribution rights to Thameens Films, who had also earlier distributed Vijay’s Thuppakki. The producers, Shri Mishri Productions are also looking to release Thalaivaa’s music, composed by GV Prakash on 22^nd June, Vijay’s Birthday.

International nominations for Naan Ee

SS Rajamouli’s Naan Ee is all set to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20^th in the Film Market Section. Following which the director and his team will fly to Madrid, Puchon and Shanghai.

The romantic-fantasy has won six nominations, including the Best Film, best supporting actor (Sudeep), best cinematography, best special effects, best music composer and best editor at the prestigious Madrid Film Festival 2013.

This is also the first Indian film to compete in the ‘Best Film’ category in the Madrid Film Festival. Naan Ee, following this, will also participate in the Shanghai International Film Festival and Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival.

Director Shankar & Dhanush project

Early in 2011 there was a buzz created around the possible teaming up of Shankar and Dhanush. It was before Nanban had commenced that stories of Dhanush being part of that project started doing the rounds. Even though that didn’t materialize the buzz over Dhanush being part of Shankar’s next has surfaced yet again.

Sources say that AGS cinemas are in possession of Dhanush’s call sheet and are keen to share it with Director Shankar. While the combination would have the Tamil audience licking their lips in anticipation, the CEO of AGS cinemas, Archana Kalpathi, has played down the reports as being just mere rumors.

But in all likeliness, Dhanush and Shankar could literally be sharing the same stage very soon as both of them have been invited by Aascar Ravichandran to grace the occasion of 555’s audio launch which is scheduled to take place in a couple of days.

Actor Vikram's new look for 'I' spotted !

As always the case Shankar has been closely guarding the details of his under production film, ‘I’, that stars Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead. There have been several reports that have emerged regarding Vikram’s various looks in the film. It has been reported that Vikram’s character will be seen completely beefed up in one portion of the movie, while another half of the movie will shown him with a leaner physique, warranting a rapid loss in weight from the actor.

Now it has been brought to Behindwoods’s attention that Vikram was recently spotted in the city with a completely shaved head, leading us to believe that the tonsured look too is going to be part of Shankar’s ‘I’. While the story of the film is anybodys guess, the various getups of Vikram alone are proof that ‘I’ is going to be yet another ambitious project from Shankar.

Highest award for Nayanthara from Big B

Nayanthara has bagged the highest award for excellence in Telugu cinema, the Nandi Award, for her highly publicized portrayal as Sita in Sri Ramarajyam. The award for Best Actress was made all the more special for Nayanthara as she received the award from the hands of Amitabh Bachchan.

The function took place in a grand manner on 11^th April at Hyderabad. Nayanthara was also visibly pleased as her film Sri Ramarajyam was awarded the Best Film too. This is Nayanthara’s first Nandi Award and should mark her comeback as a clearly successful one.

Actress Anjali returns, meets DCP

Actress Anjali who was feared to have gone ‘missing’ over the past couple of days returned to Hyderabad and appeared before the DCP of West Zone, Sudheer Rao. After explaining her situation to the Deputy Comissioner, Anjali was allowed to face the media persons who had swarmed the area.

Anjali said that she was not in a frame of mind to speak elaborately on the matter but said that she had gone to Mumbai as she was mentally upset. She said that she will be reporting back to work from Monday for the Telugu remake of Bol Bachchan where she stars opposite Venkatesh once again after their successful pairing in Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.

'Mariyaan' Music

Starring Dhanush and Parvathy, 'Mariyaan' is a story of survival. Based on the fiction of a fisherman caught up in the Sudan oil wells, the story revolves around five important emotions - love, separation, pain, confidence and rise. We hear that it was not only Dhanush, but also the music director AR Rahman, who has displayed these emotions. Rahman is said to have composed a beautiful album, containing one song for each of the emotions. The best of the lot is said to be a song where a galore of emotions has been brought by Rahman, to fit the few minutes of the song. According to a source close to the team, the over all effect reminds one of Bharat Bala-AR Rahman rapport in the world famous 'Vande Maataram'. The good friends, were earlier expected to release two individual single tracks from the album, but the crew has later decided that the audio launch will be holistically held on the 23rd of April. The main film can be expected in the big screens by the first week of May.

Yesudas Back with 'Moodar Kudam'

If we had to describe the singer in a word, he is legendary. Everybody in the music fraternity worship his voice, while the man has only humbled with age as ripe as his experience. The most favourite singer of the industry, KJ Yesudas is coming back in the the album of the movie 'Moodar Kudam'. The film is directed by Naveen, who was formerly an associate of directors Simbudevan and Pandiraj.
The film's music has been composed by Natrajan Sankaran of Trinity Music School. The album has seven songs in all, out of which 5 are original tracks. The album has the leading voices from the industry, like Srinivas, SPB Charan, Naresh Iyer, and of course Yesudas. The veteran singer has sung a remix version of his debut song, 'Neeyum Bommai'. The album is said to have music of all genres, including rap. Audio launch of the movie is scheduled for the 29th of April. The audio rights is owned by Think Music. The movie will be released under Pasanga Production by director Pandiraj.
