KAATRU VELIYIDAI SINGLE TRACK REVIEW

Finally, the much-expected song from Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai is officially released by the makers as  Valentine's Day release. This song is undoubtedly the most anticipated among the music lovers since the time it made its glimpse in the teaser.

It is beautifully composed by AR Rahman with breezy touch and instrumental tune that stimulates. The beauty of the song is the part wave pitch which takes a different scale of tempo as it progresses, creating the romantic vibe while listening. Vocal, lyrics and composition of the song are a perfect Valentine treat to the fans.

Lyricist Vairamuthu does what he is best known for, particularly the phrase; 'Ennodirundhaal Avalai Ninaivaan Avalodirundhaal Enaiye Ninaivaan' . Does it give us the hint of two parallel love track in the movie? On the other hand lets wait for Mani Rathnam's touch to take the picturization of this song to all new level.

A.R Rahman, sure-shot in Ponniyin Selvan

There is a huge buzz surrounding Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. Kalki’s epic classic has captivated generations of Tamilians and continues to do so. Fans of his work are anxious to find out who will play the characters that are deeply ingrained in their hearts. So far Vijay, Mahesh Babu, Arya, and Anushka have been confirmed for the project.
In recent times, Mani and A.R Rahman have teamed up together to create memorable music and so it was believed that they would come together again for this mammoth undertaking. But there were reports that Rahman is far too busy with international projects to be a part of Ponniyin Selvan.
However, sources within Mani’s camp insist that it will be Rahman who will be doing the music. It must be remembered that Mani had wished to make Ayutha Ezhuthu without music but Rahman would not hear of it. He came up with some magnificent tunes and convinced Mani to include the songs in his movie. Best Wishes to AR Rahman!

The Mozart of Madras has always been in news for his accomplishments and has had congratulatory messages pouring in from all corners. But today, on his wedding anniversary, we send him our best wishes. AR Rahman is married to Saira Bhanu and has three children Khatija, Rahima and Ameen. His wife, clad in lovely Indian wear, had accompanied him to his Hollywood red carpet appearances notably the Academy Awards in 2009 where Rahman won two Oscars for his work in the film Slumdog Millionaire.

Rahman has managed to keep his family and personal life away from the limelight but that hasn't stopped us from noticing the talents his children possess. Ameen and Khatija have rendered a few lines for the film Couples Retreat and Endhiran respectively. On this special day, we take the opportunity to wish Rahman for a personal reason rather than the usual professional one and also wish him much more success.

GV Prakash and Yuvan – Ultimate 'Nanbenda'

Both Yuvan Shankar Raja and G.V. Prakash have become the most successful musicians of this younger generation. But they are proving to be such friendly and have been helping their friends a lot by taking up projects at a lesser remuneration.

When Sabapathy narrated the story of ‘Pathinaaru’ to Shiva, he was looking for a low-profiled music director. But Shiva managed to convince Saba saying that he’ll request Yuvan Shankar Raja for the project. Yuvan accepted to work on it at a very lesser remuneration and did it for the sake of friendship he shares with Shiva.

Similarly, G.V. Prakash’s recent album ‘Narthagi’ is receiving good response. The film doesn’t have even a single brand as its USPs. GVP has done a tremendous job with his musical score based on carnatic genres.
