Madhumitha speaks to the media

Madhumitha is currently directing a film titled Kolai Kolaya Mundhrika after Vallamai Tharayo. The shooting of the film has come to an end.
While speaking about this film, she said,” Comedy is given importance in this film. Crazy Mohan has written the story and dialogues.
I have written the screenplay and directed this film. Lot of actors including Karthik Kumar, Shika and Jayaram are acting in this film. One famous actor is also starring in this film. It is suspense for time being that who is the famous actor.
We will be releasing the film after the IPL matches in April. Many are asking why I am directing a comedy film. I studied fashion design in Singapore and then later on went to America.
I directed a lot of short films there. I got awards for these films. So I decided that I should achieve something in cinema and came here. I directed my first film Vallamai Tharayo. This film spoke about the problems that arise between husband and wife.This film received many awards including Tamil Nadu State Government Award. Since I felt that I should not be stamped as a director who deals with women subjects, I decided to do comedy film.”
