The second World Malayalee Council film awards took place at a grand event at Nehru Stadium on April 18, 2010 (Sunday).The proceeds of the event will go towards building an orphanage for HIV affected children. The chief guest for the event was Ilayaraja.Awards were presented to Kamal Haasan, Mohan Lal, Resul Pookutty, Director Arivazhagan, Director Pandiraj, actress Pooja among others.
