Even a child in these parts know very well that Vijayakanth is hailed as ‘one man army’ in almost all his films and the ‘Captain’ would fight with terrorists to save the country from their evil plans.
However, some remarks from the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam supremo on the Indian Army made the Madras High Court on Tuesday to issue a notice to him, demanding his reply.
The court ordered the notice to Vijayakanth on a petition seeking an enquiry into his remark during a press interview at Villupuram on March 24 and to withdraw the registration of his party under the Representation of People Act.
During the press meet, the actor-politican, in response to a question “as to what his strategy in the election was, reportedly replied implying that even the Indian Army did not have a strategy when it fought the Kargil and other wars with Pakistan.”
